WP Map users have the option to add a WP Maps store and product locator widget to their Shopify store.
To begin the process of adding a WP Maps locator widget on your Shopify store, please follow the below steps:
1. Log in to your Shopify account
2. On the left-hand panel, click on “Online Store” under “Sales Channels”
3. Click on “Theme”, and then click on “Customize” on the Theme page to go to the site editor
4. Once you are on the site editor, click on the “Add section” prompt on the homepage, and a menu of sections that you can add will appear
5. Click on the “Apps” tab, and select “WP Maps Widget”
6. WP Maps Widget will appear on the left-hand side of the screen under the Apps section that needs to be clicked
7. A panel will appear that needs to be filled before the locator widget can be added to your store
8. Make sure the “Widget Status” is “enabled” and choose your preferred options in the other fields
9. Before you can proceed, you will need to first get the Build ID and Client ID to add the locator widget
10. Clicking the “Manage app” button will open the WP Maps Application in a separate browser tab for copying the Build ID and Client ID
Getting the Client ID #
To get the Client ID, please follow the below steps:
1. Log in to your WP Maps account through Shopify
2. Click on the “Super Admin” tab on the left-hand panel
3. Click on the “Configuration” tab and select the “Access Token” sub-tab
4. Copy the client ID and paste it into the “Client ID” field on Shopify
Getting the Build ID #
To get the Built ID, please follow the below steps:
1. Log in to your WP Maps account through Shopify
2. Click on the “Widgets” tab on the left-hand panel
3. Under the “Builds” section, copy the “Build ID” for the widget you want to add to your Shopify store
4. Paste into the “Build ID” field on Shopify
Once you have added the Client ID and Build ID to Shopify, press the “Save” button on the top-right corner of the screen.
Once all steps are done, the WP Maps locator widget will be added to your Shopify store.
